NASA Dryden sponsors robotic tool kit educator workshop Published May 11, 2010 By NASA Dryden Flight Research Center PALMDALE, Calif. -- Educators are invited to explore the use of robotics in the classroom during a workshop May 22 at the AERO Institute in Palmdale. Sponsored by NASA Dryden Flight Research Center's Office of Education, the educational workshop is offered free of charge. The event will focus on NASA's robotics tool kit and explain the ways these kits can be incorporated into classroom curriculum. Each kit includes an end effector, brush bots, robotic arm and other tools. Upon completion of the workshop, educators will be allowed to borrow the kits for classroom use and other educational activities. The 90-minute workshop for educators of grades three through 12 is scheduled for 9 a.m. The AERO Institute is located at 38256 Sierra Hwy., Ste. A., in the Palmdale Civic Center.
