"1600 Gate" closed June 21 to Aug 6 Published June 17, 2010 By Edwards Public Affairs Office EDWARDS AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- Motorists seeking to use the main flightline entry gate located near Building 1600 will be redirected to the gate located near Base Operations for the next nine weeks as work to install an automated entry control system at the 1600 Gate is performed. Beginning Monday June 21, through Friday Aug. 6, the primary flightline entrance and exit point will be located just east of the new Base Operations Facility, Building 1202. This gate will be open to accommodate traffic during the construction period.
