Col. Berry to assume command of 95th MSG Published July 13, 2010 By Stephen K. Robinson 95th Air Base Wing Public Affairs Office EDWARDS AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- Col. Harry A. Berry will assume command of the 95th Mission Support Group during a formal Air Force change of command ceremony in Hangar 1810 at 1 p.m. July 16. Colonel Berry will be responsible for more than 12,500 personnel assigned to the Air Force Flight Test Center, Air Force Research Laboratory, NASA's Dryden Flight Research Center and 49 associate units on a base of 308K acres. Colonel Berry will direct force protection; civilian and military personnel administration; supply, transportation, fuels, and deployment activities; contracting functions; and morale, welfare, recreation services. He will also serve as director of emergency operations; military magistrate; and as liaison to the local school district, Army Air Force Exchange Service and Defense Commissary Agency. Colonel Berry comes to Edwards from Air Force Materiel Command, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, where he was chief of the Logistics Readiness Division. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Utah, Salt Lake City, Utah, and a Masters in Logistics Management from the Air Force Institute of Technology, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Dayton, Ohio. Colonel Berry's awards include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal and Meritorious Service Medal with three oak leaf clusters. Colonel Riggs will transfer to Air Force Materiel Command, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base where he will serve as deputy commander, Strategic Plans and Programs.
