Members from across Edwards joined Brig. Gen. Robert C. Nolan II, Air Force Flight Test Center commander, in signing up to donate to the Combined Federal Campaign during the fundraiser's kick-off breakfast here Oct. 6.

"We're not so much asking for money," said General Nolan to those in attendance, "We are asking for consideration."

General Nolan shared with the audience how time spent in other countries has made him appreciate all that America has provided him and his family.

"I see how very fortunate we are and I am proud to be able to give back in this way."

The commander thanked Team Edwards for their support of the CFC and encouraged members from across the command to consider how they may help those less fortunate than themselves, by contributing to the CFC.

CFC is the world's largest and most successful annual workplace charity campaign, with more than 300 CFC campaigns throughout the country and internationally to help to raise millions of dollars each year. Pledges made by federal civilian, postal and military donors during the campaign season (Sept. 1 to Dec. 15) support eligible nonprofit organizations that provide health and human service benefits throughout the world. The director of the Office of Personnel Management has designated responsibility for day-to-day management of the CFC to the office of CFC Operations.
