Marching upward - Team Edwards Airmen earn new ranks in monthly promotion ceremony Published March 9, 2011 By Kate Blais 95th Air Base Wing Public Affairs EDWARDS AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- Members of Team Edwards came together in the Base Theater, Mar. 4, to help celebrate a milestone in the careers of Airmen who have proven themselves worthy of promotion. Eighteen Airmen were given new ranks during the March promotion ceremony as their respective units shouted unit pride. "What a beautiful Friday and perfect way to end the week here at the [Air Force] Flight Test Center," said Col. Dawn M. Dunlop, 412th Test Wing commander. "You've excelled in job knowledge, performance, leadership and professionalism and the Air Force has recognized your potential to serve in a higher grade." The colonel asked the promotees to keep in mind three points as they put on new ranks. Remind themselves why it is that they serve; pursue the qualities of their mentors while continuing to mentor Airmen following in their footsteps; and to keep their focus on the mission, the people and core values. "Congratulations to each and every one of you. Promotion is our most visible form of recognition and you have each earned it," concluded Colonel Dunlop.
