Dr. Keith Phillips to address EAFB's National Prayer Luncheon Tuesday Published May 19, 2011 By 95th Air Base Wing Public Affairs EDWARDS AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- Edwards AFB is pleased to feature Dr. Keith Phillips as guest speaker during its annual National Prayer Luncheon May 24 at 11:30 a.m. The luncheon will be in the Club Muroc Alliance Ballroom. Dr. Phillips is president of World Impact, a Christian missions organization dedicated to ministering to the inner cities of America. He is described as a dynamic Christian leader and a forceful, thought-provoking speaker who has appeared on The 700 Club, the Trinity Broadcasting Network, Focus on the Family, The Haven of Rest, The Heaven and Home Hour and James Kennedy's radio program, and is a conference speaker with Promise Keepers. Dr. Phillips is author of several Christian works including They Dare to Love the Ghetto; The Making of a Disciple; No Quick Fix; and Out of Ashes, which chronicle the history of the urban poor in America and explores their present needs and future hope. Before becoming World Impact president Dr. Phillips served as club director for Los Angeles Youth for Christ; he currently supervises World Impact's inner-city ministries in 10 cities and four camps. Tuesday's menu includes buffet-style Santa Maria Tri-tip or Lemon Chicken. Cost for lunch is $10.00 and tickets are available through May 20 at Chapel office 2, via cash or check.
