About 200 Team Edwards members braved the morning air May 20 and took on the challenge of competing in the Fourth Annual Air Force Research Laboratory Detachment 7 Rat Race, which organizers call the highest and most daunting course at Edwards.

The 5K fun run tested the runners' strength and intestinal fortitude by having to climb Leuhman Ridge.

Those who paid the $15 to enter received a T-shirt and a workout. Proceeds from the race will go to AFRL's events committee.

Participants were treated to brunch after the race.

Congratulations to all the winners and participants!
