Colonel Arwood assumes role as 95th ABW vice commander Published June 22, 2011 By 95th Air Base Wing Public Affairs EDWARDS AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- Col. Amy VanNortwick Arwood is the new 95th Air Base Wing vice commander. She comes to Edwards from MacDill Air Force Base, Fla., where she served as the Cyber Operations Advisor to Headquarters U. S. Special Operations Command. Colonel Arwood was commissioned in 1988 through the Air Force ROTC program from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Az., where she graduated with a degree in applied mathematics. Her assignments have included tours in five major commands, a numbered air force, two unified commands and the Joint Staff. She has served in a variety of communications operations and maintenance positions from headquarters to tactical levels. She has commanded two squadrons and has served on deployments to Southwest Asia in support of Operations ENDURING FREEDOM and IRAQI FREEDOM.
