Applications now being accepted for interim MJUSD School Board vacancy

Applications are now being accepted from any qualified person interested in serving as a provisional School Board member for the Muroc Joint Unified School District.

Qualifications include:

1. An applicant must be 18 years of age or older.

2. An applicant must be registered to vote within the Muroc Joint Unified School District, Kern County, California.

3. An applicant must be a resident of the Muroc Joint Unified School District, and must currently reside at Edwards Air Force Base.

Applications are available from the Muroc Joint Unified School District office, 17100 Foothill Avenue, North Edwards, California, or online at www.muroc.k12.ca.us, by clicking on the "School Board" link.

Completed applications must be returned to the MJUSD office at the address listed above no later than 4 p.m., Thursday, July 14, 2011. Office hours are Monday-Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The person selected for this provisional appointment will serve until December 3, 2012. An election will be held on November 2, 2012, to fill this position for the remaining two-year term.
