A cut above - Commissary's meat boss retires after 38 years

Dave Corbin, Commissary meat department manager, is presented with a cake by Elizabeth Hoyle, bakery manager, at Corbin's retirement gathering in the Commissary's warehouse Sept. 21. Commissary employees and friends gathered to share a potluck lunch and shower him with gifts as he gets ready to "pack" it in after 38 years of service at Edwards. "These people will do anything for a free meal," Corbin joked, trying not to get emotional about the send-off. Corbin told his co-workers they've been a good family. He said after all these years retirement was going to be something very different, and he plans to catch up on his "honey-do" list.
