Warrior of the Week

Senior Airman Thomas C. Castro
Aerospace Ground Equipment Journeyman

412th Maintenance Squadron
Edwards AFB, Calif.

Hometown: Vallejo, California

When did you join the Air Force? 2007

Why did you join?

My decision to join the Air Force was inspired by my family members that have served past and present. I also joined to serve my country, pursue my education, and develop as an Air Force maintainer.

What do you like most about your job?

Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE) challenges us to learn about an extensive inventory of aircraft support equipment. Once you think you've mastered a piece of equipment there is always a new challenge to get your hands on, therefore, producing some of the best mechanics the flightline has to offer.

What are your favorite off-duty activities:
I enjoy basketball, boxing and running with my fellow AGE Rangers.
