Sergio Fontanez Acquisitions project manager, 412th Electronic Warfare Group Hometown: Ledyard, Conn. When did you join the Air Force? June 2008 Why did you join? I wanted the physical and mental challenge that the Air Force provides and to make a difference in the lives of others. What do you like most about your job? I enjoy learning about new technologies the Air Force is acquiring and knowing that every new technology that we develop or acquire will help save lives. What are your favorite off-duty activities? Movies, running, playing video games and karaoke Warrior Highlights: Second Lt. Sergio Fontanez is an acquisition project manager for the 412th Electronic Warfare Group. He is currently deputy program manager for the 412th EWG Small Business Innovation Research project development team and also a project lead for upgrading the Benefield Anechoic Facility's test capabilities. Lieutenant Fontanez has a very important job in support to the warfighter. He ensures the Air Force has the right tools to test and evaluate the survivability of our nation's weapon systems.
