Dec. 23 designated as Family Day Published Dec. 15, 2011 By 95th Air Base Wing Public Affairs EDWARDS AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- The Friday before Christmas, Dec. 23, is designated as a Family Day. Brig. Gen. Robert C. Nolan II, Air Force Flight Test Center commander, has authorized this day as a down day for military members. Supervisors of DOD civilians should be liberal in their approval of requests to use appropriate leave, comp time, or credit hours on the Family Day. Contractor personnel should contact their supervisor/management chain concerning their leave/absence policy. If contract supervisors have questions, they should contact their respective contracting officer, or in their absence, the Directorate of Contracting at 277-2006 for assistance.
