Special tax filing days for dorm residents -- Jan. 27-28 Published Jan. 10, 2012 By 95th Air Base Wing Public Affairs EDWARDS AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- The Edwards Tax Center will open its doors for Airmen's dormitory residents from 1 to 5 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 27 and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 28. These days are reserved for dorm residents who wish to file simple federal and state returns. All those who qualify and arrive during these operating hours will have their tax return filed. This service is provided on a walk-in basis and Airmen will be seen in the order they arrive. Those who go to the tax center to have their returns filed will need to bring in their W-2 forms, which will be available starting Jan. 24 through the myPay website at https://mypay.dfas.mil/mypay.aspx. This gives Airmen enough time to print out their W-2 and bring it with them to the tax center to get their taxes filed. Those who live in the dorms, but require a complex tax return need to call for a separate appointment. The Edwards Tax Center is located in Building 7210, next to the Children's Library , at 1100 Kincheloe Avenue. Please call the legal office at 661-277-4310 with any questions.
