Motorist advised to use caution: new four-way stop Lilly and N. Rosamond Blvd. Published Feb. 1, 2012 By Brian Sponsler 95th Civil Engineering Directorate EDWARDS AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- Motorists on Rosamond Blvd. near the NASA Dryden facilities may have noticed work on the roadway shoulder this week. This work is an installation of a four-way stop at the intersection of Lilly & North Rosamond Boulevard. Work is scheduled to be completed and the stop signs put into service Tuesday, Feb. 7. "These traffic law changes will be obvious", said James Judkins, Base Civil Engineer. "There will be rumble strips and speed-registering warning signs to prepare motorists of the new requirement. The signs themselves will be brightly illuminated, with flashing lights around the perimeter of each sign." These safety measures aim to make the exits and entrances to the NASA complex safer and more convenient, something long requested by NASA leaders and employees. Motorists are advised to use particular caution around this intersection while drivers become accustomed to the new traffic rules.
