Why did you join the Air Force?
I joined the Air Force because it provided an excellent means for me to obtain a college education while also providing meaningful career options and the chance to serve my country.

What do you like most about your job?
The best part of my job is working alongside the incredible people here at the Air Force Flight Test Center. I also love the challenge of tackling the technical obstacles that arise during the course of flight test.

What is your favorite thing to do around the area?
I enjoy hiking, bowling, playing guitar, and spending time with my husband and the awesome friends I've made here at Edwards AFB.

"Lt. Heather Stickney is an exceptional tester currently assigned as the Flying Qualities lead engineer for RQ-4B Global Hawk at the Global Vigilance Combined Test Force. Composed and prepared, her control room acumen has been called upon to ensure safe aircraft recovery during emergency events. A mentor and innovator, Lt. Stickney has used her expertise to revamp dozens of advanced analysis methods to be more intuitive and efficient, developed effective training plans that boosted engineering availability, and researched new methods for comparative time series analysis. A dedicated and active wingman, Lt. Stickney took time on leave to speak with University of Tennessee AFROTC members to provide valuable insight to future Air Force officers; captained and founded the Combined Test Force bowling team; competes in 12-person 'Ragnar' relay events; and designed the recently approved 773 Test Squadron emblem."
