Movin on Published March 30, 2012 By 95th Air Base Wing Public Affairs EDWARDS AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- Dave Bookrum, Edwards Installation Exercise program manager, retired March 30 after 34 years of government service. Following a decade of active military service, Bookrum began his federal civil service in 1978 with the Department of Justice at the Federal Correctional Institution Terminal Island, Ca. He took a job at Naval Hospital Long Beach in 1983 and then in Oct. 1993, Bookrum accepted a position as Chief of Disaster Preparedness at Edwards in the 650th Engineering Group.The opportunity to interact with all the different agencies on Edwards was a highlight of his tenure here on base, he said. Bookrum will head to his home in Las Vegas to enjoy his friends and family. A retirement ceremony will be held April 13 in the Conference Center at 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. For more information call 277-3002.
