JSF executive officer drops by 461st FLTS

Lt. Col. George Schwartz, 461st Flight Test Squadron commander (left), presents Vice Admiral David J. Venlet with a commemorative flag and photo on behalf of the Joint Strike Fighter Integrated Test Force. Venlet is the program executive officer for the F-35 Lightning II Program. He stopped by the ITF June 11 to meet with the test force and speak at an All Hands. It was his first visit. Venlet previously served as commander Naval Air Systems Command, headquartered in Patuxent River, Md. Other flag tours include program executive officer, Tactical Air Programs and commander Naval Air Warfare Center, Weapons Division, with responsibility for Navy weapons and systems research, development, test and evaluation, and fleet support capabilities at China Lake and Point Mugu, Calif.
