Why did you join the Air Force? I wanted a chance to serve my country and travel.

What do you like most about your job? Making sure the airfield is safe for aircraft to land and takeoff.

What is your favorite thing to do around the area? Taking family trips to Las Vegas.

Warrior Highlights: Staff Sgt. Kimberly Blackwell distinguishes herself daily as the Airfield Management Training NCOIC. Her training program received an unheard of 100-percent compliance rating during this year's Air Force Materiel Command Headquarters inspection. The AFMC Airfield Operations Branch chief stated 'Our training program is one of the best in the command, if not in the U.S. Air Force!'" Staff Sgt. Blackwell was also named an 'Outstanding Performer' by the inspection team and was coined by our operations group commander,  Col. Christopher Azzano. Sergeant Blackwell always sharpens the sword by volunteering her time. Most recently, she served on her squadron's second quarter Airman of the Quarter board review panel and is currently organizing the Airfield Operations Flight's annual picnic. Lastly, she recently gave birth to a bouncing baby boy. With her amazing work ethic she worked right up until the day before she gave birth. Her work ethic is second to none and is well deserving as a Warrior of the Week!"
