The event is held to raise funds for the Civ-Mil group, which uses the money for special projects around base. Civ-Mil raised money for new carpeting that was installed in the Airman's Attic in October 2010. The event was attended by base leadership as well as civic leaders and Civ-Mil members. Davy M. Belk, Air Force Test Center technical director and Col. Amy Arwood, 412th Test Wing director of staff, spoke to the attendees along with California State Assembly Member Steve Knight, son of Air Force test pilot and former California State Assemblyman Pete Knight. The gathering allowed base leadership and local civic leaders and supporters to meet and mingle. The event raised funds through the purchase of steak and chicken dinners and raffle tickets for prices presented from local Antelope Valley businesses.
