Men and women of the 912th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, the 416th Aircraft Maintenance Unit and the Global Powers Fighter Combined Test Force, bid farewell to Ed Cunningham who passed away last month. As a WG-6652-11 Aircraft Ordnance Systems Mechanic, Cunningham literally has touched every aircraft and supported every test project the CTF has executed in the past two years. He had loaded munitions for several notable test projects, which included projects that enabled the first-ever delivery of a GBU-39 Small Diameter Bomb with a Universal Armament Interface cable from an F-16 and the first-ever F-16 ripple release of Small Diameter Bombs. Cunningham grew up in Los Angeles and Riverside with 12 siblings. He spent 20 years in the Navy as an Aviation Ordnance man. He is survived by his wife, three children and three grandchildren.
