2012 Annual Air Force Command Language Program of the Year and Annual Air Force Language Professional of the Year submission call Published Oct. 16, 2012 By Edwards AFB Education Office EDWARDS AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- This is a general call to those units with registered Command Language Programs (CLP). CPL Managers can assist in collecting data to support unit nominations for the Command Language Program of the Year and for the Individual Language Professional of the Year. The CLP is designed to increase the proficiency of language professionals in performance of Air Force mission duties. The CLPoY competition seeks to recognize the Air Force unit with the best CLP for the year. The LOPY competition is an annual program designed to identify and recognize the military language professional's role in supporting the warfighter/DoD efforts. Both Air Force winning packages will be forwarded on to the DOD-level competition.
