This program is for all parents, not just new parents, as pregnancies, babies and circumstances can be very different from one family to another. Accordingly, the NPSP nurse is available to come to your home and tailor visits to your family's individual needs. The NPSP nurse is certified in prenatal and perinatal psychology and is highly skilled in working with families to enhance their ability to nurture and bond with their baby before and after birth. The NPSP nurse can also provide information regarding various resources including counseling, money management, and resources for families within the local area. The New Parent Support Program is an incredible service which can ultimately create stronger connections within the family.
