412th Medical Group to undergo AAAHC Accreditation and AF Health Services inspection Published Dec. 19, 2012 By 412th Medical Group EDWARDS AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- The 412th Medical Group will undergo a thorough survey Jan. 7 through 11, 2013, to verify the group's compliance with national ambulatory health care and Air Force Medical Service standards. The purpose of the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, or AAAHC, survey is to evaluate the group's compliance with national ambulatory health care standards. During the same week, inspectors from the Air Force Inspection Agency will conduct a thorough Health Services Inspection, or HSI, to ensure compliance with Air Force and Department of Defense requirements. In order to maintain continued accreditation, the medical group must undergo a comprehensive survey once every three years. This survey ensures the medical group delivers high quality care to active duty military members, military retirees and their family members. There will be no interruption of clinical services because of the survey and normal operations will remain in place. Stakeholders of the 412th MDG with pertinent and valid information about the provision of health care or compliance with AAAHC standards are invited to speak with surveyors during the week. Contact Ms. Ellen Kizzer at (661) 277-2529 or ellen.kizzer@edwards.af.mil to schedule a meeting with surveyors.
