The Edwards Legal Office offers a quick and efficient way to accomplish a very important task - executing a Last Will and Testament. Eligible legal assistance clients may have their wills drafted during Legal Assistance walk-in hours throughout the week by a qualified attorney-paralegal team.

Eligibility: Clients who are eligible for legal assistance include active duty members, reservists and National Guard members on Title 10 orders, and dependents of active duty members or retirees who are entitled to an identification card. If you have questions about your eligibility, please call the Legal Office at (661) 277-4310.

Hours: Legal Assistance walk-in hours are on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. and Tuesday and Thursday from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Process: The Legal Office requires several pieces of information from you in order to draft your will. You may relay this information to the attorney-paralegal team verbally when you come to the Legal Office during walk-in hours, but the drafting process is greatly streamlined if you complete a will worksheet before your visit. Will Worksheets can be completed online at the Air Force Legal Assistance website, located at: https://aflegalassistance.law.af.mil. When you access the website, click on the "Legal Worksheets" tab and then the "Create Will and Advance Medical Directive Worksheet" button. After inputting the required information, you will be provided a Ticket Number by the website. You should bring your ticket number with you to the legal office during walk-in hours or email it to 412TW/JAGeneralLaw@edwards.af.mil so that the attorney and paralegal can review the worksheet before drafting your will. Hard copies of the will worksheet can be obtained at the Legal Office, but utilizing the website is the preferred method.

The Legal Office sincerely values the feedback of our clients. After your visit for a Last Will and Testament or other legal assistance, you may complete a feedback survey by accessing the Air Force Legal Assistance Website at https://aflegalassistance.law.af.mil and clicking on the Feedback tab. The Legal Office welcomes all feedback as we try to more effectively and efficiently serve our base community.
