Team Edwards begins local community survey

EDWARDS AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. --   With the recent momentum of the Air Force's Comprehensive Airman Fitness philosophy, which focuses on taking care of Airmen and their families, Team Edwards is doing its part to do the same.

During the months of July and August, the Edwards Community Survey will be available for the base community to fill out and turn in at select locations or e-mail completed surveys.

"Our leadership is very interested in your suggestions and concerns about programs, services, or benefits affecting you and your family," said Nancy Koch-Castillo, Edwards Community Support coordinator. "Basically, it is a local survey that it is based on the same concepts--making improvements to the local community for all to benefit from."

"We are asking people to consider what could be improved in the following areas, to include, but not limited to: Family, Housing, School, Health & Wellness, Single Airmen, Special Needs, Deployment, Communication Support, Medical and Dental Services, Army and Air Force Exchange Service, Commissary, Military or Civilian Pay, Allowances, Entitlements, Relocation, Traffic, Travel, Transportation, Education, Childcare, Morale, Welfare and Recreation," added Koch-Castillo.

As for who can participate, Koch-Castillo said anyone from the Edwards community, to include active duty servicemembers, reservists, civilians, spouses, retirees, and contractors.

"Once completed, all suggestions and concerns will be briefed at the next Community Action Information Board chaired by the 412th Test Wing commander," Koch-Castillo said.

To access to the survey, personnel may print the survey from the Edwards homepage under the Featured Edwards Links tab, www.edwards.af.mil/shared/media/document/AFD-130710-023.pdf. Once printed, participants may drop off the completed surveys at Bldg. 3000, Room 68, located on the second floor, or scan it and send it to nancy.kochcastillo.1@us.af.mil.

"As a community, we can make a difference by creating an avenue to share information among all," said Koch-Castillo.
