412th Test Wing Warrior of the Week Published June 9, 2017 412th Test Wing EDWARDS AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- Group: 412th Maintenance Group Member: Staff Sgt. Matthew Kentgen Unit: 412th Logistics & Test Squadron, Eglin Air Force Base, Fla. Job Title: F-35 Joint Technical Data Verification Manager Career Goal: To make technical sergeant while also refining my technical skillsets, enabling me to become a more proficient technical data verifier. Congratulations to the 412th Test Wing’s Warrior of the Week, Staff Sgt. Matthew Kentgen. Assigned to 412 Logistics & Test Squadron operating out of Eglin Air Force Base, Florida, Kentgen performs duties as a Technical Data Verification Manager. During his tenure with the 412th, Kentgen has taken an unorthodox approach towards strengthening the mission by restructuring the F-35 technical data verification catalog. His efforts led to the elimination of multiple duplication efforts while also refining the technical data verification process. Additionally, Kentgen’s expert maintenance knowledge was critical to the redesign and verification of a flight critical F-35A nose landing gear door adjustment, identifying and eliminating eight unnecessary steps. This represented a manpower savings of 10 hours per aircraft while further reducing the fiscal impact on the entire F-35 fleet. His determination and professionalism has not only enhanced Eglin’s verification process but has directly had a positive effect on the entire F-35 community. Thank you, Staff Sgt. Kentgen, for being monumental in the 412th Test Wing mission. Great job Test Warrior!
