Glen W. Edwards. Edwards’ father, other family members and dignitaries were in attendance at the ceremony. One interesting fact is that the original plaque had a misspelling of Capt. Edwards’ first name by adding a second “n” to Glen. It was later remade and the error was corrected. Pictured (left to right) are Claude Edwards, the father of Capt. Edwards, and Brig. Gen. Albert Boyd, Edwards Air Force Base commander.
