Team,

The holidays are finally upon us and I'd like to take this time to express my deepest gratitude and commend all of you for your hard work, successes and patience.

2013 was busy and challenging for the 412th Test Wing and I am amazed at all the accomplishments we have made through all the hurdles and honored to serve with you every day.

This past year we hit the ground running with the Consolidated Unit Inspection in January and throughout the year we fought through many challenges, including budget constraints and the civilian furloughs that halted flight operations for six weeks.

But, throughout all our trials, Team Edwards endured and continued to test, improve, and provide the most technologically advanced airframes and weapons systems to our warfighters.

The coming year will no doubt pose more challenges, but as we've seen this year, we will all get through them together.

Please take time during the holidays to remember those men and women who still serve down range in harm's way and cannot be home with their loved ones this holiday season.

Safety never takes a holiday, so be sure to celebrate Christmas and New Year's with safety first in mind. Use the Airmen Against Drunk Driving program if needed (661-277-AADD).

I want to close out by saying thank you one last time for 2013. It is the greatest honor to serve with you here at Edwards. I have the best job in the Air Force!

Enjoy the holidays with your friends and families and I will see you all next year!
