Airmen reminded 'Freedom is never given, it is won'

EDWARDS AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- As we celebrate this 4th of July, let us remember that "Freedom is never given, it is won." Every day here at Edwards, we work the continuous process of keeping our hard-fought victories secure so that Freedom can flourish. Our developmental test activities ensure that when we send our Airmen into harm's way, they are prepared to defend it with the best technology and tactics our Nation can provide. I thank each of you and your families for the daily sacrifices you make to ensure freedom and remind us all that "Those who desire to give up freedom in order to gain security will not have, nor do they deserve, either one." Michelle and I hope you have a wonderful and safe holiday.
