2015 Tax Center update Published Jan. 20, 2015 By 412th Test Wing Legal Office EDWARDS AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- Please take a moment to review the following update regarding the spring 2015 Tax Center: Tax center eligibility Due to a severe shortage of manpower, as a result of Force Shaping, this year's Tax Center will be limited in its size and scope. We will only be able to accommodate active duty personnel and their dependents. Please also note that certain tax returns will fall outside of the scope of the IRS training provided to our Tax Center volunteers. We will determine whether the Edwards AFB Tax Center will be able to assist with the filing of your tax return when you call to make an appointment. Dates and location The Tax Center is scheduled to open Feb. 9 and run through April 15. The Tax Center will be open on Mondays from 8 a.m. to noon and Wednesdays from 1 p.m. to 4:30. The Tax Center is located in Bldg. 7210 at 1100 Kincheloe Ave.; near the post office. Appointments Appoints can be made starting Jan. 26. To schedule an appointment, please call 661-275-ETAX during the following hours: Mondays and Wednesdays: 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays: 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Fridays: 8 a.m. - noon. When you make an appointment, you will be advised what you will need to bring to your appointment. Walk-ins are welcome; however, appointments take priority and walk-ins will be seen contingent upon the availability of a preparer.
