TPS softball team takes trophy Published Sept. 1, 2015 By 412th Test Wing Public Affairs EDWARDS AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- After finishing the softball season .500 for the regular season with 6 wins and 6 losses, the U.S. Air Force Test Pilot School softball team took the Edwards AFB Championship. The team was seeded 7 going into the playoffs and shocked their opponents by going undefeated to take it all. TPS beat the 412th Test Engineering Group in the first round by one run, and in the second round, they beat 412th Security Forces Squadron 20-18. They next played and beat 412th Maintenance Squadron 22-17. TPS faced 412th MXS again in the finals beating them 21-8. This was the first time TPS has had a full team and win the championship, they had never made it passed the third round for the past seven seasons.
