95th Medical Group earns 12 AFMC awards Published Jan. 16, 2008 By Airman 1st Class Stacy Sanchez 95th Air Base Wing Public Affairs EDWARDS AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- Several people from the 95th Medical Group recently received Air Force Materiel Command medical awards. Eight individuals and four teams earned awards. "The awards are testaments to the great Airmen who come together in a tight-knit organization where teamwork is a daily activity," said Col. Gale Skousen, 95th Medical Group commander. The 95th Medical Group's well-trained personel provide first-class care, said Lt. Col. John Lopardi, 95th Medical Support Squadron commander. "We have an extremely talented group of desert medics, both military and civilians," Colonel Lopardi said. "Winning these awards, with extremely keen competition throughout AFMC, shows that hard work pays off for those putting forth the effort in the day-to-day operations of the medical group." Colonel Lopardi said members of the medical group takes pride in their job. "The medical group is exceeding Air Force standards," Colonel Lopardi said. "Being good wingmen to co-workers, peers, subordinates and superiors is what we emphasize to all assigned personnel upon their arrival to the medical group." Edwards is in good hands and will continue to receive world-class health care, Colonel Lopardi said.
