Air Force taps 72 sergeants for promotion Published June 27, 2008 95th Air Base Wing Public Affairs EDWARDS AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- Air Force officials selected 72 Team Edwards sergeants for promotion June 26. Thirty-two technical sergeants were selected for promotion to master sergeant and 40 staff sergeants for promotion to technical sergeant. The master sergeant selection rate, 22.31 percent, decreased 2.58 percent from last year, while the technical sergeant selection rate, 18.55 percent, increased .17 percent from 2007.
