High Desert Lanes Bowling Center receives makeover Published Feb. 4, 2009 By Terry Stegman 95th Mission Support Group EDWARDS AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- The High Desert Lanes Bowling Center opened Feb. 3 after updating its systems. The Bowling Center received new, high-tech scoring system with flat screen monitors. "The old scoring system and monitors were outdated and beginning to fail causing many problems for the bowling community" said Jeff Hamilton, Bowling Center director. "The old equipment was beginning to cost more to repair than what was cost effective." This new $92,000 system was made possible by end-of-year funds by the 95th Air Base Wing and 95th Mission Support Group Commanders. "Our new systems are the best in the bowling market today and will provide a superior bowling experience for the Edwards community for years to come," Mr. Hamilton said.
