Robinson 95th Air Base Wing Public Affairs Office EDWARDS AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- Burger King will soon enter the second phase of its reconstruction project. During Phase Two, Aug. 30 through Oct. 20, the entire Burger King facility, including the drive-through, will be closed for business. However, there are many alternative dining options at Edwards. Located on Main Base, in the Main Exchange Food Court, are Charley's Steakery, Popeye's Chicken, Anthony's Pizza, Robin Hood, Taco Bell and Baskin Robins with Starbucks in the Commissary parking lot. Across the street from the Army Air Force Exchange Service Main Exchange, in the High Desert Lanes, is the Strike Zone Snack Bar. Colocated with AAFES Shoppette are Pizza Hut and Subway. At the corner of Yeager Boulevard and Wolfe Avenue is a second Subway location. Located on Popson Avenue, west of South Muroc Road, in Bldg. 2412, is Crazy Otto's. At 205 West Popson Avenue, in the Oasis Community Center, is Panda Express. Located in the NASA Dryden Food Court, a second Robin Hood and Anthony's Pizza, along with American Eatery. On Doolittle Parkway, in Bldg. 5600, is Club Muroc, and around the corner at the Golf Course, in Bldg. 5611, is the Sandbagger Grill. Located near the intersection of East Yeager Boulevard and East Popson Avenue, in Hangar 1600, is Mary's Place. At South Base is another American Eatery. According to AAFES management, reconstruction at Burger King is on schedule for an Oct. 21 reopening.
