Martha “Martie” Puckett received her 30-year Federal Service pin Oct. 7. Her federal service career started in March 1978 as a clerk stenographer, and in 1992 she opened the first Human Resource Office for the 95th Communications Squadron. Martie is a Management Analyst for the Force Development and Training Office serving personnel lead and liaison in support of 200 military and civilian personnel. She was instrumental in managing personnel actions for the first-ever in-sourcing of employees. Martie is married to Bill Puckett. They have two sons and five grandsons. Nelson W. Taylor, an Air Force veteran, received his 30-year Federal Service pin Oct. 7. His federal service career started in 1991 when he arrived at Edwards to work as a “cable dog.” His skill and dedication enabled him to maintain, repair and protect the copper and fiber infrastructure located throughout the base. Nelson is a Telecommunication’s Specialist and has been instrumental in the Gate upgrades and Sky Warrior projects demonstrating his expertise with free-space and fiber optic equipment which will extend communication capabilities at Edward.
