EDWARDS AIR FORCE BASE --
Please accept my warmest wish to you, your family, and your close friends for an amazing Holiday Season. No matter the late-December tradition you cherish and participate in, know that my family and I wish you the very brightest Holiday possible!
Even as 2020 has been an unprecedented year for many things that we never want to repeat, 2020 has also been a phenomenal year for the progress we’ve led and made – together – on every front, from warfighter capabilities to the first-ever hybrid airshow to social justice. You are an inspiration to your peers, the rest of DoD, the Aerospace Valley Community, the Nation and her Allies. I could not be more proud Team T-Cot-A-Tu’s 2020 accomplishments. And when I take an inventory of the great things we have in abundance – freedom, liberty, peace, friendship, technical competence, motivation, esprit de corps, respect, passion, and the innovative spirit in our social DNA – I remain confident that we are well postured for an amazing 2021!
As you celebrate with your family and friends to close our this year and ring in the next, please continue to max-respect the risks in our environment, both the pandemic risks and all the other recurring ones, too. YOU are the most valuable resource on Team T-Cot-A-TU! It is difficult for me to express how deeply I care for each of you, not just for your unsurpassed ability to generate mission, but as amazing teammates and compassionate humans. Be safe!
Sincerely, your biggest fan and most-dedicated wingman,
MATTHEW W. HIGER
