David Garza is an aircraft engine mechanic inspector in the 546th Propulsion Maintenance Squadron.

Garza, who hails from Kingsburg, California, has been in civil service for 11 years. In his free time, he enjoys farming, bee keeping and camping.

In the F101 Engine Assembly and Disassembly Shop, Garza’s job entails borescoping, final inspection, training and educating junior mechanics and problem solving. He says he enjoys working with his co-workers and finds his mechanic roles peaceful and relaxing.

Garza’s supervisor says he is a “natural leader who is highly respected by his co-workers. Everyone is happy to work with him and he has the skills to supplement the workleader. David generally just wants to get things done and understands the roles of the aviation business.”
