Face coverings at the MPF, CAC/DEERS, ID cards, Commissary, BX and Shoppette are mandatory!  All Civilian, Active Duty members and dependents are reminded to avoid visiting the Commissary, Base Exchange, Bldg 3000 and the Pharmacy on Wednesdays. Retirees are also being seen on Wednesdays at the CAC/DEERS office by appointment only.  Please call 661-277-4281 option 3, to make an appointment. Retirees may utilize base facilities on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays.

Acquisition chief to host ABMS-focused Ask Me Anything

Dr. Will Roper, Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for acquisition, technology and logistics and Preston Dunlap, Department of the Air Force chief architect, will host an “Ask Me Anything” live Q&A event, August 25, 2020 from 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. about the  Advanced Battle Management System. The goal of ABMS is to enable the Air Force and Space Force to operate together and as part of a joint team – connecting sensors, decision makers and weapons through a secure data network enabling rapid decision making and all-domain command and control. WASHINGTON (AFNS) --

Dr. Will Roper, Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for acquisition, technology and logistics, will host an “Ask Me Anything” event for the Advanced Battle Management [family of] Systems (ABMS) on Aug. 25 from 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Preston Dunlap, the Department of the Air Force’s chief architect, will moderate and co-host the live, virtual event that provides an opportunity for Airmen and Space Professionals, industry partners, the American public and members of the media to directly engage with Dr. Roper and Mr. Dunlap on all things ABMS -  the Department of the Air Force’s top modernization priority.

Participants will be able to submit questions during the event, which will be streamed live via YouTube
