Air Force taps 10 Edwards master sergeants for promotion Published March 12, 2008 EDWARDS AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- Several Edwards master sergeants will soon add a chevron to their sleeves. Ten master sergeants based here were notified today of their selection to the rank of senior master sergeant. In the Air Force as a whole, a promotion board selected 1,284 master sergeants for promotion. The board considered 14,404 master sergeants for an 8.91 percent select rate. The following Edwards master sergeants were selected for promotion: Shawn Aldridge -- 95th Air Base Wing Michael Bella -- 31st Test and Evaluation Squadron Edward Edgar -- 362nd Recruiting Squadron Darrin Hooten -- 95th Security Forces Squadron Sandy McCray -- Air Force Operational Test and Evaluation Center Detachment 5 Sandra Pfeffer -- Air Force Flight Test Center Marcus Sharpley -- Air Force Flight Test Center Eddie Steward -- 362nd Recruiting Squadron Tony Turner -- Air Force Operational Test and Evaluation Center Detachment 5 Robert Winters -- 31st Test and Evaluation Squadron
