Hill Airmen participate in AF fitness study
Airmen from the 649th Munitions Squadron and other units at Hill Air Force Base are taking part in a physical fitness research project to discern if wearable technology could replace the Air Force’s annual fitness test.

Air Force releases updated fitness test score breakdown
Without the waist measurement as a scored component, push-ups and sit-ups will increase from 10 to 20 points each, while the 1.5-mile run will remain at 60 points. Scoring will fall into five-year age groups, as opposed to the previous 10.

Air Force removes administrative burden, allows pregnant, postpartum women to attend PME
Pregnant and postpartum members may now attend professional military education without an exception to policy, and are also exempt from the requirement to have a passing fitness assessment prior to attending.

Fitness testing suspended until Oct. 1
The change, which is an update from the original June 1 resume date, is effective immediately.
