WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Ohio -- The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center’s Business and Enterprise Systems Directorate recently deployed the Logistics Requirements Determination Process (LRDP) capability via Sustainment Planning, Execution, and Reporting System (SPERS) v2.1.0.0.
SPERS is an organically developed program management system that displays an enterprise view of customer requirements for Depot Level Maintenance through the Future Years Defense Program.
It manages the LRDP to capture the unconstrained and constrained requirements of Weapon System Sustainment for the Air Force Program Objective Memorandum (POM) and Fiscal Year Execution Plan. SPERS also supports key Department of the Air Force (DAF) and Department of Defense processes, initiatives, and reporting efforts to include other funded Customer Order Workload Planning, Requirements Review and Depot Determination, Strategic Requirements Review, and Core.
Release v2.1.0.0 provides critical data for the success of LRDP planning and is foundational in identifying future requirements for the Air Force POM.
The POM encompasses a $22 billion weapon system sustainment requirements package with over 4,000 new requests per year. The capabilities provided in this release support software development and collaboration for 125 Program Groups, six funds’ holders, and nine Major Commands across the DAF.
“This was the largest and most complex SPERS release to date,” said Charles Weeks, Centralized Asset Management Technical Manager. “The LRDP Module provides programs the ability to develop Weapon System Sustainment requirements and stakeholder collaboration in support of the DAF budget process. The synergy and drive of the team comprised of personnel from Centralized Assessment Management Capability Delivery Team, 581 Software Engineering Support, and strike team led to the successful deployment of this module.”

The next step for SPERS is to support POM development for the customer in Fiscal Year 2024.
