Hill AFB temporarily closes child development centers and youth center

Hill AFB youth programs -- Child Development Centers East, West, and the Youth Center -- will be closed on Monday, March 30. One staff member and one child require COVID-19 testing. Applying an abundance of caution, we are closing all three Centers while we wait on the results of these tests.

All families that use the youth programs are being notified of the situation. All facilities have been cleaned in accordance with the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, and 75th Medical Group guidelines.

As several Team Hill members are anticipated to be impacted by this closure, the installation commander has asked supervisors of these individuals to grant liberal work at home options, to include telework options, allowing parents to stay home with their children.

When the youth programs re-open, there will be health screening in the parking lot of The Landing Community Center. All staff members and children will be medically-screened, prior to access to care at any of our Centers. Please stay in your car. The screening process will be a drive-through system, with interviewing and temperature taking occurring with you and your child in the vehicle. At all times, please follow the directions of the screening personnel.

We ask that you keep your children home, if they are sick, until they no longer show any symptoms and are fever-free for 72 hours. Our goal is to take care of you and your family and preserve your health. Thank you for your patience.
