Hill Air Force Base deploys Airmen to aid Katrina victims Published Oct. 19, 2005 75th Air Base Wing Public Affairs report HILL AIR FORCE BASE, Utah (AFMCNS) -- A total of 17 active-duty members from Hill Air Force Base have deployed to various locations to aid Hurricane Katrina victims. One active duty member from the 75th Contracting Squadron left Saturday for the Louis Armstrong International Airport in New Orleans to provide contracting support to Federal Emergency Management Agency, Department of Defense and other agencies. Three combat cameramen from the 367th Training Support Squadron began deploying Sunday to fill various multimedia functions in support of Joint Task Force Katrina at Camp Shelby, Miss. Thirteen active-duty security forces members from the 75th Air Base Wing deployed Monday to Lackland AFB, Texas, to assist with additional patrolling and security coverage for more than 2,500 Hurricane Katrina victims currently housed at Kelly U.S.A., San Antonio, Texas. "Our Air Force is answering many calls for emergency assistance to provide assets we have available," Col. Sharon K.G. Dunbar, 75th Air Base Wing commander said. "The dedicated men and women at Team Hill are working around the clock to assist those in need."
