WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Ohio -- For videographers, most days are spent in a booth, providing support to Air Force Institute of Technology instructors teaching distance learning classes.
The 2006 AFIT March Graduation provided them a chance to show their stuff.
With static cameras shooting constant footage, and a roaming camera offering a multitude of angles, the ceremony was shared worldwide in streaming video.
"Our job of supporting instructors and students in the classrooms is extremely important," said Airman Bryan Yale, AFIT videographer. "But it's fun to take our skills and use them to support an event like the graduation."
Senior Airman Michelle Emery, AFIT videographer, expressed how satisfying it is to provide graduation footage to people who are interested, but might not have the opportunity to attend the event.
"As we all know, being in the military does not allow us to share some of our proudest moments with our family members who are located all over the world," said Airman Emery. "Giving the student's family members an opportunity to watch them graduate and achieve so much by simply clicking on a link in their own homes and watching it live is an incredible feeling."
