General Peyer assumes command of air logistics center Published Aug. 8, 2008 ROBINS AIR FORCE BASE, Ga. -- Maj. Gen. Polly A. Peyer took command of the Warner Robins Air Logistics Center Aug. 7 during a ceremony at the Century of Flight Hangar at the Museum of Aviation. General Peyer succeeds Maj. Gen. Tom Owen, who is becoming the Director of Logistics and Sustainment for Air Force Materiel Command at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio. General Peyer said she was excited to be taking command of the air logistics center and looked forward to what the future has in store. "This is the job I always aspired to have," she said. "This for me is the epitome of what I set out to do." Gen. Bruce Carlson, AFMC commander, presided over the ceremony. General Carlson told those in attendance that the air logistics center is in great hands. "I assure you Polly Peyer comes to you with the highest credentials as both a maintenance officer and a logistician," General Carlson said. General Peyer came to Robins AFB from Headquarters U.S. Air Force, where she was director of resource integration in the Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff for Logistics Installations and Mission Support.
