AFMC general officers on the move Published May 5, 2009 By Air Force Materiel Command Public Affairs WRIGHT-PATTERSON AFB, OHIO -- Maj. Gen Thomas J. Owen has been nominated for his third star and an assignment as commander of the Aeronautical Systems Center at Wright-Patterson. He will succeed Lt. Gen. John L. Hudson, who will retire. General Owen is the director of Logistics and Sustainment at Air Force Materiel Command headquarters at Wright-Patterson. Maj. Gen. Kathleen D. Close, commander of the Ogden Air Logistics Center at Hill AFB, Utah, is slated to succeed General Owen. Slotted to succeed General Close is Maj. Gen. (select) Andrew E. Busch, commander of the Defense Supply Center Richmond in Richmond, Va., a field activity of the Defense Logistics Agency in Fort Belvoir, Va.
