Marathon early registration brings chance to win prize package Published March 29, 2011 WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Ohio -- Anyone registering for the Air Force Marathon before April 30, 2011, will be automatically entered to win an All Access Prize Package. "We did this contest last year in July and it was a huge hit, but this year the races are filling up so fast that we didn't dare wait until then," said Molly Louden, Air Force Marathon director. Currently, the half and full marathons are at 50 percent of capacity. "We are well ahead of last year's pace and we sold out a month early then. We are advising everyone to register now rather than miss out," Ms. Louden said. The 15th annual race, which takes place on Sept. 17, 2011, includes a full marathon (26.2 miles), a half marathon (13.1 miles) and a 10K race (6.2 miles). A 5K race (3.1 miles), hosted by Wright State University, will take place on Friday evening, Sept. 16, 2011.
