  • Daughter visits crash site 59 years after father’s death

    On Jan. 28, 1958, 33-year-old test pilot Tom Kilgariff was killed when his Douglas A-3D Skywarrior caught fire, broke apart and crashed in a field just west of Barstow, California. The wife and children he left behind eventually moved away and went on with their lives in other parts of the country.
